Charlotte Area STARS Leadership Corps

The Charlotte chapter of the SLC consists of 16 students from UNC Charlotte, Winthrop University, Elon University and other regional colleges. These students were selected from incoming freshman, transfer students, newly-declared computing majors, and new graduate students, as well as returning undergraduate and graduate students.

Our goal is to broaden participation in computing disciplines or computing prerequisite programs of study through recruiting, bridging and retention of potential and current students. To accomplish this we have formed the various leadership teams that work to encourage interest in learning technology through outreach to our schools and communities.
